This Privacy Policy explains how JustSimple Lawn ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to being transparent about what data is used and why.

1. Information We Collect

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to our own servers. We do not require registration or an account.

The following information is used locally on your device or by third-party services described below:

Location data (optional). If you choose "Use my current location", the App requests your device's GPS coordinates solely to look up local weather. Coordinates are sent to the Open-Meteo weather API (see section 3) and cached locally on your device for up to 30 minutes. Location is only accessed when you explicitly trigger this action; the App does not track your location in the background.
App settings. Your saved cities, reminder time, and language preference are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device through our systems.
Purchase information. If you purchase a Premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Google Play and RevenueCat (see section 3). We receive only a confirmation of entitlement status; we do not see your payment details.

2. Permissions

Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). Used only to detect your coordinates when you tap "Use my current location". You can always add a city by typing its name instead and never grant this permission.
Internet (INTERNET). Required to fetch weather forecasts from Open-Meteo and to display advertisements.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS). Requested only if you enable the daily reminder (Premium feature). Used exclusively to send one scheduled notification per day at your chosen time.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com)
Provides weather forecast data. When fetching weather, the geographic coordinates of your saved location are sent to Open-Meteo's servers. No personal information is included. Open-Meteo is a free and open-source service.
Google AdMob (policies.google.com/privacy)
Displays banner advertisements in the free tier of the App. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (GAID) and other non-personal signals to serve relevant ads. We request non-personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings under Google → Ads. Premium users see no ads.
RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy)
Manages in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt from Google Play to verify your subscription status. No name, email, or payment details are shared with RevenueCat by us.

4. Data Retention

All data stored by the App (city names, settings, cached weather) lives only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App. We do not retain any data on external servers.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
